Racecourse Road Closure

Pursuant to s58 of the Land Administration Act 1997, notice is hereby given that Council, at its Ordinary Council Meeting held on the 16th June 2026 resolved to support the application by Genesis Minerals for closure of a public road reserve Racecourse Road from SLK0.00 to SLK1.80 the road end.

The request from Genesis Minerals Limited is that this road be degazetted due to the potential relocation of the racecourse and future mining operations.
Details of the closure are available for inspection at the Shire Administration Office 67 Tower St, Leonora which is open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm or can be downloaded from the Shire of Leonora website at www.leonora.wa.gov.au

Submissions on the closure must be made in writing and lodged with the Shire of Leonora by Friday 14th August 2026.
