Public Notice - Review of Local Laws

Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Leonora proposes to review the following local laws in accordance with section 3.16 of the
Local Government Act 1995:

• Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2021
• Local Law Relating to the Leonora Cemetery
• Meeting Procedures Local Law 2022
• Parking & Parking Facilities Local Law
• Shire of Leonora Cat Local Law 2022
• Shire of Leonora Dog Local Law 2022 (including Dog Amendment Local Law 2022)
• Shire of Leonora Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2022

The purpose of the review is to determine whether each local law should be repealed, amended, or remain unchanged.

A copy of each of the above local laws may be inspected or obtained:

• At the Shire of Leonora Administration Centre, 16 Tower Street, Leonora, during normal office hours; or
• On the Shire’s website at www.leonora.wa.gov.au.

Submissions about the local laws may be made in writing to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Leonora, PO Box 56, Leonora WA 6438, or
by email to ty.matson@leonora.wa.gov.au, and must be received by the Shire no later than 5:00 pm on Friday 20 November 2026.
