Local Government Elections

Under the Local Government Act 1995 (Act), Ordinary local elections are held every two years on the third Saturday in October. Council members are elected for a term of up to four years. 

The nomination period for the 2023 Local Government Ordinary Election has now closed. All candidates who nominated have been elected unopposed and all vacancies filled. The results of election for Leonora are available here.
