The Leonora Art Prize
Facilitated by Leonora Art Prize Inc, this new iteration of the art prize focuses on nurturing a vibrant local art scene by providing a platform for artists to showcase their talent during the Golden Gift.
The event is intended to run annually as part of the Golden Gift celebrations, with a ticketed Opening Night on the Friday, and the gallery then being open over the long weekend and following week. All works entered are available for purchase.
Opening Night
Opening night for the Leonora Art Prize takes place on the Friday night of the Golden Gift weekend.
A ticketed event, guests are treated to a night of art, hors d'oeuvres and refreshments at the JG Epis Centre.
The night includes the announcement of winners, which is livestreamed.
Art Prize viewing
All entries will be on display at the JG Epis Centre over the Golden Gift weekend and following week.
Entry is free, and viewing is open from 10am to 4pm Saturday 30 May to Friday 5 June.
Works are available for sale during this time.
