A Visit from Farmers Across Borders

Farmers Across Borders drove through Leonora on Saturday 25th of January!

This not-for-profit organisation drove with 20 road trains and 50 trailers and travelled as far as Gascoyne Junction, dropping off much needed hay to those pastoralists who have missed out on the rain from Cyclone Blake.

This organisation relies on the support of local and corporate businesses and individuals to keep helping those in need when drought and natural disasters take their toll.

A message from the team:

"LEONORA, you guys were the greatest!!! Thank you to the amazing Shire of Leonora executive staff & councillors, who so generously welcomed us overnight. And to the other locals who accommodated such a large travelling group without a hitch, the town was beautifully kept & we really enjoyed our stay!

Leonora is home to the “Golden Gift”, a sensational town aquatic centre & the iconic Hoover House ...also, that footy oval was the lushest grass we’ve seen in 400kms!"
